LE CADRE NOIR
The Cadre Noir de Saumur brings together all the teachers of the National Riding School. True experts in one or more equestrian disciplines, the main mission is to transmit technical and theoretical knowledge. They must train and maintain the horses that they present in the Riding School or in the gala presentations.

CHATEAU DE SAUMUR
The emblem of Saumur, perche high on its pedestal, build by the Counts of Anjou also known as the Plantagenets. It was transformed into a royal fortress at the beginning of the 13th century during the time of the King Saint Louis. During the second half of the 14th century, Duke Louis I of Anjou (brother of King Charles V) transformed it into a sumptuous palace castle. King René, last Duke of Anjou, resided there periodically. After his death in 1480 the castle returned to the royal estate.
